Abstract
After long-term use of distal extension RPDs, some clinical complications such as residual bone resorption and bite collapse had been happened. To solve these problems, implant-RPDs fusion treatments for which implants inserted at distal area and RPDs were supported or retained by implants had been introduced as a new method to overcome limitations of conventional RPDs. In this case, on the bilateral mandibular posterior missing area, we achieved clinically desirable results by fabricating implant-supported RPDs which are supported by implants after installation on the most posterior area.
